MYRA V.O. SJIEM FAT is a partner and the co-founder of Sjiem Fat & Mahabir.

Mrs. Sjiem Fat started her IP career in 1997 as a paralegal for Dr. Paul V. Sjiem Fat. She became a senior paralegal in 1998 during Mr. Sjiem Fat's absence. Due to this she was in charge of the office and handled the firm's trademark portfolio.

In 1999, Mrs. Myra Sjiem Fat and Mr. Ram Mahabir founded the firm Sjiem Fat & Mahabir Trademark Consultants N.V. The firm was a continuation of Dr. Paul V. Sjiem Fat Law Offices, who went on retirement.
Mrs. Sjiem Fat also holds the position of Manager Trademark Matters. She is responsible for the management and the day-to-day business of the firm.

Mrs. Sjiem Fat has over 10 years experience in the field of trademarks in Suriname.

Mrs. Sjiem Fat is a member of the International Trademark Association (INTA).
